Customer wants to open a traditional spanish food restaurant/bar in Toronto.
Initial investment can't be too high. However, outskirts of the city are a no-go as the it would be a bit of an outlier type of cuisine with not enough potential customer base to help grow the business. Risk would thus be high.
Instead the idea is to look for mid to downtown. Ideally a trendy area that hosts people in the early 30s to late 40s.
This is a family business and the intention is to keep any necessary loan at minimum. Thus they expect a very small number of customers eating at the premises while most of them just order to go.
We will use FourSquare to locate the most trendy areas and the possible competition there, avoiding as much as possible to sit next to an unwanted competitor, e.g., a trendy fast-food place. A full fledged restaurant with spanish flair wouldn't be a problem.
Being close to a club may however be of interest: people may have their drinks there yet look for a quick taste bite around the corner.
We expect to get a 2-5 possible candidate locations.
If we find the necessary data candidate locations will be weighted based as well on on real state prices and loans options.
